When we are asked for a recommendation on the best restaurants in the Hunter Valley, it is always a pleasure to recommend Bistro Molines. We first came to know Sally and Robert some 20 plus years ago and continue to enjoy their company when we can.

With a loyal following of locals and visitors from Newcastle, Sydney and beyond, the Bistro Molines menu reflects a commitment to locally sourced, in season produce but keeps the long time favourites.

Robert’s menu doesn’t stray far from his French roots. You can take le français out of la France but you can never take la France out of le français. And this is never more evident than when Robert prepares the dishes of his native Provence or shows off his and Sally’s passions – the herb and vegetable garden outside the restaurant kitchen door or eggs from Robert’s ‘girls’.

Bistro Molines is open for lunch Thursday to Monday from 12 noon until 3pm and for dinner Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 9pm.
