Barely five months since leaving Australia after a soldout, emotionally charged and genuinely iconic tour, Bruce and the E Street Band have announced they are headed back to Australia in 2014 for their most extensive tour of the area to date.
Springsteen will play at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 22 February 2014 with tickets going on sale on Monday 26 August via ticketek.com.au. And as is always the case during the Hunter Valley concert season, accommodation will sell out fast, with those near Hope Estate already receiving enquiries.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought the Wrecking Ball tour to Australia earlier this year on their first tour Down Under in more than a decade, performing three hour plus shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and at Victoria’s iconic Hanging Rock.
Springsteen will then play single shows, for now, in Melbourne (February 15 at AAMI Park), Sydney (February 19) and Brisbane (February 26). A show at Hope Estate winery in the Hunter Valley on February 22 has also been announced.
“From the moment we finished the second show at Hanging Rock on March 31, we have been working on a plan to return next year. Among other things, we wanted to expand the number of places we play to include the Hunter Valley, Perth and Adelaide, with a trip to Auckland, as well. Those venues are in addition to the new dates in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. In other words, this will be our most far reaching tour of Australasia ever – and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are planning to make it their finest.” Jon Landau, Springsteen’s manager and producer

The Vintry offers a unique location and an outstanding level of quality in a luxury, self contained country home for as many as eight guests. The award winning accommodation is AAA 4 1/2 Star Rated and just 8 minutes from Hope Estate.
Fold open the timber and glass doors from the kitchen, dining and lounge rooms to the wide timber decks over looking the vineyards to the Brokenback Ranges and you too will need to be reminded which part of the house in inside and which is out.
By evening share wine, conversations and tall tales with friends around the 10 foot dining table or relax in the leather lounges around the wood fire, then retreat to the privacy of your own space with ensuite bathroom and Natio Spa toiletries. Greet the morning when you choose to, on your own private terrace over looking the gardens.
Architecturally designed to be part of the landscape, with the feel of a traditional bush retreat, The Vintry is far from “roughing it”. Luxuriously appointed with the highest quality furnishings and fittings, The Vintry is a contemporary design and includes 1 king size bedroom with hydrotherapy spa bath and 3 queen size bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom and private terrace for those times when you would like some personal time to relax.
The shows in February will not be a continuation of the Wrecking Ball tour but special concerts for his patient Australian fans who had not seen him for a decade before his triumphant run this year.
The rocker’s long-time manager and producer Jon Landau said the March shows during which Springsteen played 78 songs from his catalogue, were one of the highlights of the Wrecking Ball tour.
“Our shows in Australia earlier this year were among the very best and most satisfying of our whole 128-show tour,” Landau said.
“The crowds were tremendous, the fans as warm, friendly, and welcoming as we could ever hope for, and the quality of the performances, as virtually every reviewer commented, were spectacularly high.
“From the moment we finished the second show at Hanging Rock on March 31, we have been working on a plan to return next year.”
