The awards belong to the Cellar Masters who, over the course of the past two decades, have been named Best Sparkling Winemaker of the Year no fewer than 12 times in the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
Charles Heidsieck success began as soon as the 19th Century. In 1859, 4 years only after the creation of the House, Charles Heidsieck received the first and only gold medal ever awarded to a champagne producer during an exhibition in Bordeaux.
Back to the modern era, recognition and awards continued to grace Charles Heidsieck champagne. Over the ten past years, the House received more than 180 gold medals and some 32 Trophies.
The prestigious Blanc des Millénaires cuvée received a Gold medal in the 2015 IWC. The iconic Rosé Réserve cuvee hit the jackpot and was named #1 of the Rosé Non-Vintage ranking of the famous Fine Champagne Magazine. In September 2015, in the Wine Spectator magazine, the Brut Réserve and Rosé Réserve scored 93 points, the the Rose Vintage 2006 scored 94 points, and the Blanc des Millénaires 1995 scored 95 points.

With 40% of reserve wines (the maximum possible amount), the blend offers a complex, voluptuous nose with notes of freshly baked brioche and the richness of roasted coffee beans.
A precise selection of wines, purposely limited of 60 crus, ensures the Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Champagne a deliciously sophisticated harmony. An opulent selection of ripe, sun-drenched fruits such as mango, apricot and greenage plum combines with dried fruits, pistachio and almond.
The texture is reminiscent of a crisp layer of nougatine on a velvety cream pastry filled with plump red plums and ripe cherries. The reserve wines, some dating back ten years, give give the wine lushness. The depth of the thousand-year old chalk quarries where the wine matures offer a touch of praline along with notes of amber and vanilla.
