Friday night, 7 November saw the opening night of the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular for 2014. This year, they have been over 250,000 lights added to the Christmas Lights Spectacular at Hunter Valley Gardens and now with over 1.5 million lights in total, it is surely the best there has been with this year, the eighth year of the event.
The Hunter Valley Gardens was filled with vibrant colour, incredible light and sound displays and the must see display is on every night from now until Saturday 26th January (excluding Christmas Day and night).
The Hunter Valley Christmas Lights Spectacular is the largest lights display in the Southern Hemisphere and is a great way for the entire family to kick start that festive season. In addition to the lights there are food and beverage stalls, photo opportunities with Santa, a light up disco floor, Christmas displays and amusement rides. Every year Hunter Valley Gardens makes several additions to the Christmas Lights Spectacular with choreographed music and light displays with three Mega Trees and the 12 Days of Christmas, you can see Cinderella’s Pumpkin Coach in fairy lights, as well as a narrated Christmas story told over loud speaker at the Nativity scene.
