First Creek Wines have been crafting wines of exceptional regional quality since 1996. The fruit for the 2011 First Creek Botrytis Semillon was allowed to mature on the vine until the sugar levels and flavours were optimal for this style of wine. The fruit was gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel with an aromatic yeast. At 10°Be the fermentation was stopped and the wine filtered and sent to bottle to retain freshness and fruit aromatics.
Deep yellow gold with a nose that is rich and generous. There is an orange marmalade aroma with apricots and citrus fruits. The palate confirms that is a concentrated luscious wine but with a cleanness of acid on the finish that cuts away what could be cloying sweetness. A great wine to enjoy with dried fruit and white cheese or passionfruit souffle.
