Hunter Valley High Tea | Sabor Tea Room

Over the last 6 years SABOR has had 100’s of enquiries for a SABOR High Tea and felt they didn’t have the right space or time to dedicate to a High Tea worthy of the name SABOR. Now that SABOR Dessert Bar has re-located to Pokolbin (2342 Broke Road), they have fully renovated the original Lovedale location and dedicated it to a High Tea Room.

The Sabor High Tea menu has been created by the Head Pastry Chef  Nicole Fang. Nicole has been with Sabor for over 4 years and previous to that has worked in International hotels including Asara, a 5 star hotel and wine estate in South Africa where she started as Sous Pastry Chef, then promoted to Head chef within two years. Nicole trained under French, Swiss & German pastry chefs and has over 12 years in the pastry industry. Her dedication and perfectionism to pastry has been on display at SABOR DESSERT BAR for the last four years and she has now created the Sabor High Tea menu, which is both a culinary & visual experience like no other in the Hunter Valley. From the French style mini croissants to the handmade chocolates and everything in between, all will be made fresh on location and using only the finest of ingredients.

The moment you walk up under the timber pergola and you enter through the white French doors you’ll be transported into High Tea Heaven. From the Egyptian Lead Crystal Chandelier hanging above your head and crisp white table linen to the antique Royal Albert Teapots and tea sets that are almost 100 years old, mostly sourced from local antique dealers, vintage stores, close friends and mothers china cabinets, they have spared no expense when it comes to making your High Tea experience an unforgettable one.

You will have the menu explained and served by the chefs themselves and have an unlimited supply of their selected teas and freshly ground coffee from the coffee machine.
 
Sabor have always prided themselves on specialising in one thing and one thing only, dessert, and they now plan on doing the same here with their High Tea, It’s a set MENU which they feel will satisfy everyone’s palate (some menu items can be altered for dietary requirements, given enough notice).

Open on Saturdays and Sundays with two sessions a day:
Session 1:  10:30am concluding at 1pm,
Session 2:   2:30pm concluding 5pm.

Bookings are essential as there is limited seating available.
