Lambloch Estate The Loch 2010

Lambloch Estate is a twenty acre property located on Broke Road in the Hunter Valley adjoining the historic Lake’s Folly and across the road from the Mount Pleasant Rosehill vineyards. Alongside these two great sites, planted by local legends Max lake and the great Maurice O’Shea, Lambloch Estate was planted in the 1950’s on similar prized volcanic loam soils, where it was used to craft many great wines.

Strong, deep purple-crimson is an introduction to a poised, powerful shiraz from 50-year-old vines planted on the prized red soil found in pockets here and there in the Hunter Valley; the intense blackberry and licorice fruit flavours are supported by ripe tannins and balanced oak. Will live for at least 50 years. Rating: 96 James Halliday Wine Companion
